Known for a variety of fish including northern, walleye, and channel catfish, the Red Lake River is your destination for fishing. The Clearwater River, Sandhill River, Wild Rice River, and Red Rivers also provide challenging and exciting experience for anglers of all ages.

Located in Grand Forks, the Boathouse on the Red provides reasonably-priced canoe and kayak rentals for all ages. Run by the nonprofit Ground Up Adventures,  which seeks to promote adventure-based activities for youth.
